ITCHY VICODIN
Feeling good this morning. 2nd breast cancer surgery down and out of the way…now just waiting to make sure cancer hasn’t spread any further. If all is well, radiation is planned for Sept 8th. The pain was a little worse this time around, so I took more Vicodin than I did last surgery. Boy, the itching started and would not go away. My scalp itched, my feet, my face, my stomach all itched. So no Vicodin today and the itchiness is all gone. How in the world do people get addicted to such crap? I hate the feeling of being on a pain killer. I’m all looped out and feel weird. I can’t imagine that is attractive to anyone :) I love that Dr. Skinner and her crew were all listening and making time in the operation room to rock tunes on her Ipod. I thought that was very cool. By the way, they keep it FREEZING in that little operation room. WOW! I could have cut glass with my one good nipple :) I have been asked to be a featured speaker at a Breast Cancer event in October. I think it is really cool they thought of me, although I never wanted to be the go-to Cancer girl. However, I look upon it as an honor and will do my best to not let any one down.

i had carpal tunnel surgery in march and was given vicodin for pain. the nurse told me to take the pill before i went to bed that night in case the anastesia(?) wore off during the night. i woke up the next morning scratching the hell out of my feet. i had to buy benadryl to stop the itch. i flushed the rest of the pills down the toilet. i dont understand how people that these pills to get high. i would be scarred to death instead!!!!!

Hey Kimberly, thanks for the update. I haven’t been listening to the radio to hear of anything. Will start back listening on the first day of school. Good luck and prayers to you.

Kimberly,
Am glad to hear your surgery is done with. I go for my final reconstruction on September 5th and like Christina Applegate said the other day - “I’ll be the only 90 year old lady in the nursing home with perky breasts! Keep up the faith - it’s gets better each day.

Hey Kimberly, Glad to your hear that you are keeping your spirits up..the show isn’t the same without you. If you are really itchy, you are probably having an allergic reaction to it. Check with your doctor about something different. Take care, my thoughts are with you.
